Windows 10: My laptop has removed my ability to alter the brightness and i assume it is also limiting...

This started after my laptop went completely black, at first I waited just incase it was just some small hiccup but it didnt go away, so turned it off and plugged it in, came back and it turned on, but then a new issue appeared, now i cant change the brightness or run any games smoothly

One of the possible reasons why you're unable to find the slider to adjust brightness is due to driver compatibility. We suggest that you update your display driver. Follow the steps below:

• Type Device Manager in the search box > Hit Enter.
• Expand Display adapters > Right-click on the display adapter name > Click
  Properties.
• Go to Driver tab > Select Update Driver >
  OK.
• Restart your computer.

Brightness Control not working in Windows 10

To adjust the brightness, see the steps below:

• Go back to Power Options, and tick on the High performance.
• See if you can adjust the brightness.

If this not work, we highly suggest that you create an Administrator account, and re-do the steps above.

Some computers can let Windows automatically adjust screen brightness based on the current lighting conditions.

To manually adjust the screen brightness, we suggest following these troubleshooting steps:

• Click Start, then select Settings.
• Choose System, then select Display.
• Under Brightness and color, move the Change brightness slider to adjust the brightness.
