Windows 10: My laptop hasn't been able to update since the April 10th 2018 update, and every time I try...

Please help, I'm losing my will to live.

So the title. Yesterday I got the message that the April 10th 2018 update is 'coming to an end' as they put it, whatever that means. My laptop has been trying to force me to update for ages now. It will say, 'we'll update in an hour, sound good?' and every time I have to force it not to because no, it does not sound good. Every single time it just takes ages trying to update and then undoes the changes. When I let it update, I leave it overnight so there's no way I'm turning it on before it needs to be. I'm not disturbing the process, but every time I turn it back on it says, oh no, that didn't work out, undoing changes.

When I tried to update it last night, I turned it on this afternoon and it got stuck in the undoing changes loop for the first time (repeatedly showing the laptop logo, saying undoing changes, then black screening) and I couldn't get it to restart in safe mode, despite trying several times. I eventually got into boot up mode (?) and couldn't find anything to help in there, but after exiting, my laptop started normally.

I just want this issue to stop so I can get the updates and stop being bugged by my laptop constantly trying to update. It's worth noting that I've had a problem with my laptop since 2018 with the charging. It will not charge, and it will only turn on if it's plugged in and will immediately shut off if I unplug it. I've been dealing fine with it (too broke to fix it or get a new laptop) but it means I can't do anything with unplugging my laptop because it simply won't work.

Windows 10 April 2018 Update(SCU) Partially Breaks MKV File Support?

I updated to main computer to the April 2018 Update, AKA Spring Creators Update, and it seems like they've taken a step backward with MKV file support. When I go into the properties of an MKV file on the Fall Creators Update, if I go to the details tab it gives me a bunch of detail about he media file, like resolution, framerate, audio information and bitrate. However, if I go into the same file's properties on the April 2018 Update, almost all of the information is blank, it only gives me a runtime and bitrate.

I really just want to confirm that this isn't just my computer and other's are experiencing the same thing.

Windows April 2018 update

My Windows 10 was working fine until the April 2018 update. After updating it to April 2018 version , my laptop keeps shutting down automatically when I on my laptop. So what can I do to fix the automatic shut down? (I really like the April update, by
the way)
