    My laptop in settings>Storage says Windows (C:) - 238gb 140gb used 98.4gb free.


    This is a second hand laptop and I have done factory reset on it and removed all files and settings It says 88.2gb is used by apps and features but when I press on it & sort by size the largest one is 288mb

    Any suggestions please, it’s slowing it down so much

    why not try to use virtual PC and emulate windows 98 on a XP machine or did someone already suggest that?

    Hi,

    It's possible that the 346GB of space that you're seeing under the Apps & games window refers to the available space of the selected drive and not the actual usage. To confirm this information, we suggest that you check the total
    usage through the Storage usage screen instead. To do this, follow the steps below:

    • Click the Start menu or Windows icon.
    • Select the gear icon or Settings.
    • Select System > Storage.
    • Under Choose a drive to see what's taking up space, select
      This PC (Drive letter)
    • Under Apps & games, check if the space usage exceeds the estimate 140GB of space.

    My settings say I have used 235 of 238gb of storage. I have 31GB of photos in Icloud yet it shows in my storage as other. How do I free up storage?
