Windows 10: My laptop is 3:2 and my second monitor 16:9. Taskbar looks innecesarry bigger in the monitor.

Hi!I recently bought a monitor 16:9 and the scale doesn't resize when I set it to smallest scale. It stays the same. The taskbar looks so big and I want to take advantage of the screen size :. The scale is at 100% for both screens. My laptop 3:2 is 2k and my monitor 16:9 is 1080pI've tried everything and nothing works. Can you help me? Thanks : Also, I have another 16:9 laptop and in there, it works correctly. The scale of my monitor actually is smaller there... and I want the same for my 3:2 laptop when I connect it to te monitor :

How to auto-hide taskbar of the second monitor keeping unhide in the primary monitor?

I suggest you to follow the steps below to auto-hide taskbar on second monitor and check if it helps:

Steps:

1. Right click on the taskbar and select
Properties.

2. In the Taskbar tab under
Multiple displays, Uncheck the Show taskbar on all displays box.

3. Click on Apply
and Ok.

This will display the taskbar only on the primary monitor.

I have a monitor that needs to run 16:10 not 16:9 can this be done in Windows 10.

Is this for a Laptop projecting on an External monitor or is this a desktop? If laptop, are you projecting as Duplicate, Extend or 2nd monitor only?

16:9 is the new standard aspect ratio. You can barely see 16:10 (i.e. 1920x1200) nowadays that is why in Windows 10 Setting, most of the aspect ratios are for 4:3 and 16:9. If the 16:10 aspect ratios (280:800, 1440:900, 1680:1050, 1920:1200 or 2560:1600) are
available from the list of Display resolution options, it means there is no way of setting it to 16:10.

Remote desktop on second monitor won't work in 16:9

I'm trying to use a remote desktop window on a second monitor attached to my laptop, but when full screened in a 16:9 aspect ratio the screen just foes black. Ive tried many different resolutions and only the standard 4k 1440p and 1080p cause the black
screen to happen. Even when manually scaling the window if you drag it to a 16:9 ratio it will black the screen
