Windows 10: My laptop is charging but the percentage is still the same

hi,I tried unplugging the cable from the 3 spots that can be unplugged and plugged it back. nothing changed,the percantage has been %2 for the last 21 hours.I bought the computer 6 months ago so it's new.there is an another problem where computer shuts down after few seconds of opening it but I'm not sure if it's related or not.13th Gen IntelR CoreTM i7-13700H 2.40 GHzhp victus laptop 15-fa1xxxwindows 11 pro

Laptop charging but not increasing battery charged percentage

My HP Probook 4530s (Windows) can charge when it is shut down but cannot increase the battery charged percentage while charging when it is on (although it shows that the charger is plugged in and charging).

Why is this happening and how I can make it show the current battery charged percentage again?

Let your laptop running until it's only at a few percent left, and then charge it. Let it charge for a while (maybe half an hour) while it's turned on.
If you unplug your charger after some time and if the battery percentage is correct, it should shut down within a minute or so. If this happens, the problem can be your battery. If it stays on for quite a while, even when it's at a few percent, the problem will be where this percentage is calculated.

In any case, this problem seems to be hardware related, and it's best to let somebody look at it that has some expertise.

 

Toshiba Laptop Not Holding Battery Charge

attached is a pic of the internal of the laptop there does NOT appear to be a CMOS battery what should my next steps be? - fully charge existing battery and see if i remove it and install back teh next day whether its still fully charged? - charge the battery for 18 hours to charge the internal CMOS battery? - suggestions please as Im not sure
