My laptop is consuming too much data without any permission or notifications. It’ consumed around 2GB data within 20 mins. Currently on windows 11. I’ve been facing this issue for a while. Somebody please help me

Consuming too much data

My windows 10 laptop is consuming too much data and when i checked the data usage i found that
setuphost.exe is the one which is consuming the entire data.

It nearly consumed 100mb in less than 1minute.since i have daily data limit please help me to control my data usage.

 

Metred connection, still consuming a lot of data

Hi All,

My laptop is a new DELL laptop, preinstalled with Windows10. Every time I connect my laptop to my mobile internet connection through the mobile hotspot, the laptop is consuming a lot of internet data. I set the connection as metered, still it is consuming
a lot of data. This needs to be stopped at the earliest.

Below are the actions taken so far as per my own understanding:

• Connection is already set as metered.
• I have stopped the Windows Update service, before I start my data connection. Instead, I am manually checking and installing updates.

Can someone please advise ASAP?

 

Whatsapp Not Consuming data Properly

Well, hey i figured it out. There's no problem in whatsapp for consuming the main balance.

It was the mail and all other apps from where i get the notification i.e Line, Facebook, wechat.

I use to launch Whatsapp and then switch the mobile data on. But every time i switch the mobile data on, various notification from various apps comes and consume my balance.

Eventually i closed the push notification from the social apps.

But the mail??

How can i stop receiving notification from the mail while using Whatsapp??

I can't even my delete my 3 logged in mail accounts at that time.
