    My laptop is getting bsods, black and freezing screens, and random restarts


    Whenever it goes black screen or freezes when i go into the event viewer i see 2 critical events which are the Event Id 41 Task Category 63 ones. These, together with the bsods happen randomly without any cause. Theres one thing that I am worried about which is when i run sfc /scannow i always get corrupted files no matter how many times i run the command. Things ive triedClean installing windows had a hard time because it was also bsodding and freezing in the middle so it might not have been cleanChecking the ram sticks individually if one of them had problems both still got bsodsRan memt

    BSOD and freezing

    Yesterday I started up my laptop from hibernating and it freezes, after restarting several times I get a BSOD which freezed on the BSOD one time.
    After restarting again the laptop freezed at the Welcome screen.
    I have had the freezing before, it was gone for about 2 months.
    I did not install any new hardware.
    Now it seems to run fine again.

    But what is causing the freezing and the BSOD?
    I bought this laptop last January.

    Random restarts

    when you start the computer up press F8 repeatedly until you get a list of how to start windows, choose do not automatically restart on system failure. if your getting bsod's list what your getting here so we can further help you. IF the system is not getting bsod's and still restarting as you say then i would look into getting a line conditioner for your computer as you might be having power issues.

    Random Crash/Freeze on Build 10130


    Hello everyone.

    I have been running the Windows 10 preview for the last few months and other than a driver issue here or there, did not experience any real problems. However, with the last update to build 10130, I have been experiencing a random crash/freeze that manifests itself in one of two ways:

    1. If I step away from the computer and come back before the monitor is set to go to sleep, I will come back to a frozen cursor, unable to do anything.
    2. If I step away from the computer and come back after the monitor has gone to sleep, I will come back to a black screen, unable to do anything.
    In both cases, I have to hold the power button in to shut down the computer for a restart.

    Any direction or help would be greatly appreciated.
