Windows 10: my laptop is incapable of connecting to ANY network after a network reset.

Hi, me and my dad recently ordered this Lenovo. We got this delivered at the house we stayed at for a week. when i connected to that houses internet there were no problems besides it being slow every now and then. When we returned home yesterday, i immediately noticed the internet was really really bad. I did a network reset and waited for tomorrow. When i tried connecting again, it told me that it cant connect to the network, for no reason since im right next to the router and every other device has normal connection. How do i fix this? ive already tried the netsh winsock reset, laptop reset

Hello Dear, if you have a laptop or a PC with a wireless network adapter, you can see a list of available wireless networks and then connect to one of those networks. The wireless networks will only appear if your PC has a wireless network adapter installed, the adapter is turned on, and the wireless access point is in range.

1. Click Start, click Control Panel, click Network and Internet Connections, and then click Network Connections.

2. In the left pane, under Network Tasks, click View available wireless networks.
In case, If you don't see the network you want to connect to, click Refresh network list. If you see the network but the signal is weak, move the PC closer to the wireless router.

3. Click the network you want to connect to, and then click Connect.

4. If you're connecting to a secure network, type the security key, and then click OK.

Which network adapter?

My friend recently came over to my house with his laptop. Before I could connect him to my lan he detected several wireless networks in the area. I want to connect to these wireless networks, but I don't know what kind of adapter I need. I searched his laptop model and this is his network adapter http://www.intel.com/network/connectivity/products/wireless/wireless_n/overview.htm

It seems he could get both N, and G signals

what would any of you guys suggest?
