Windows 10: My laptop is just 8 months old ,it's design capacity is 54880 mWh, and it's full charge...

Laptop is charging to design capacity, not full charge capacity

I have a laptop (Dell Inspiron 3541) with Windows 10. After running powercfg /batteryreport in PowerShell, I got a battery report (at %userprofile%\battery-report.html). However, the results didn't seem right. Here's a screenshot.





As shown by the battery report, my design capacity is 41,440 mWh, but the full charge capacity is 26,758 mWh (about 65% battery health). However, it also shows that it is charging to design capacity (154%), not full charge capacity.

Some other weird parts of the battery report:




My battery has never drained 80% in 40 minutes. 80% in 140 minutes is a much better estimate.




Over 60 years turned on and on AC in a week? I was running Linux a lot that week, but 60+ years is impossible.

Is this normal (for a Windows battery report)?

 

Why my battery's charging design capacity had decreased?

Hello there, My laptop has completed its 2 years and now its facing problems with the battery.

Now, the battery has a much lower design capacity and decreases over time. I have another older hp laptop and I see that the design capacity does not decrease but the full charge capacity does. But in this case it is the other way around. The design capacity decreased from 38 925 mWh to 21 067 mWh. I have 189 cycles count in the battery.

What can be the issue? Please help me to know about it.

Battery percentage jumps erratically on an 8 month old Lenovo Y720 laptop

My laptop has been acting very strange the last few weeks. It is about 8 month old.

I have conservation mode turned on, which means it does not charge above 60%. However lately when I am using it, it will go down to about end thirties (like 39%) and suddenly begin to turn off, not turn off immediately but like when it goes into sleep mode. Then I plug in the charger and the battery is suddenly 0%, fully drained.

So it jumps from around 40% to 0% in an instant. Uptime is usually around 1 hour and 10 minutes on battery, where it normally would be above 2 and a half hours. If I only charge the battery to something under 40%, like 15%, it will not turn off.

I have made a battery report in windows, notice how at the end today it is 37% then suddenly it turns off.
The report is very long so I took a picture of the important part.





OBS:
The report also says that the design capacity is 57.000 mWh and current capacity is 49.740 mWh
