In your case, it should a lot easier. Most laptops locked with a password can be unlocked. If an invalid password is entered in 3-5 times, a string of numbers appear which can be used to produce a master/backdoor password. In my case, I don't have access to the laptop.

 

Nokia lumia 520 locked due to battery removal after password locking

My kid locked my phone due to wrong password entry several times. My nokika lumia showed the message " Try again after one minute". I had to change the sim so I did not bother to unlock but took out the battery. upon restarting it showed the message to
try again in 503125 minutes. I think this may be due to time resetting due to battery ejection. and the mobile is calculating the time difference between todays date when it was locked and the original factory set time of nokia lumia 520. This seems to be
a bug. what to do now?gh

 

Remotely locked my windows 10 laptop, now I cant unlock it

I just locked my laptop remotely. Then my laptop unlocked normally with Windows Hello facial recognition. No change of password required.

Looks like the only way you are going to unlock your laptop is to connect it to the internet and enter your correct Microsoft Account username and password which needs to be an administrator account on the laptop.
