    My laptop is overheating


    Hi,


    I have a question. My laptop is overheating when I try to play games that my laptop "can" run. My power plan is Power Saver, the Maximum Processor State of the power plan is set to 50%, my screen's brightness is set to 30, and on top of all that I'm using a cooler cooling pad. A few days ago I even Reseted my PC, meaning that there is no malware I even run Malwarebytes scans daily and the disk has a lot of free space. My laptop is HP Pavilion dv6 series.


    The question

    How can I prevent my laptop from overheating, and how can I play those games without my laptop overheating because of them? Not sure if this is important to you, but the game I'm trying to play is Starbound, you can check that the requirements for the game are very low.


    Any help is welcome.
