    My laptop is reading 12gb ram after upgrading from 8, also from 4.


    I read that my laptop would only be able to support 8 gb duel ram. but now i added a ddr3 8gb to my 4gb ram and my laptop is reading that i now have 12.

    So, is this like a hit or miss with some laptops?
