Windows 10: My laptop is running super slowly.

My disk usage is at 100% even though it’s only using at most 10 mbs. I’ve tried disabling startup apps, with no changes. Even trying to restart the laptop takes a minute to show the restart screen.

Dell Windows 10 laptop running very--VERY--slowly

I run Windows 10 on a Dell laptop. For the last few days, the machine has been running extremely slowly, and I can't figure out why. I'm running my usual load--Mail, Firefox, TuneIn, and the occasional Libre Office Writer. I haven't made any changes to my system, and I can't tell anything from the Task Manager--everything is working normally, as far as I can tell. So far, I've tried the following things, all with no success:

• Reinstall Windows from an .iso file;
  
• Run Microsoft Defender Offline;
  
• Run a third-party hardware checker; and
  
• Run sfc and dism.
  

(BTW, my startup is fine--it's the operation that's molasses-esque.)

I don't know what to try next; I've probably missed something in Task Manager, so any guidance in that (or any) direction would be helpful.

Laptop freezing and running slowly when on Netflix

Unplug all external devices connected to the computer and restart the computer to check if that helps.

I suggest you to sign out from the current user account, restart the computer and then sign in to the admin account to check if this helps. Ensure to install any pending updates on the computer and remember to restart the system.

Windows 10 Still running Super Slow after latest update and patches - help!

I have a Dell Laptop about 2 years old - Intel , lots of RAM with SSD drive. Laptop was running super fast - fast boot, just everything was great, until this latest KP4512941 update.

Step 1- I uninstalled it, still running slow.

Step 2 - I re-installed it and installed the latest patch KB4515384, along with any other updates that were there. Still running slow.

By slow I mean everything from basic website browsing, office products, even when i print it comes out slowly from printer.

Step 3 - I did an anti-virus scan - all clean.

Step 4- I tried doing a restore point to go back a week - but I dont have any!!?

Experts - Anything I'm missing? I am trying to avoid a total refresh because I have a lot of software and customized settings on many programs and I would hate to restart from fresh.

(P.S. will Microsoft offer me free remote support to fix this?)
