My laptop is unable to access Wi-fi connectivity. I have not made any changes to the software or hardware. It happened whilst travelling overseas: it was able to access Wi-fi in one overseas location and then stopped doing so in the next overseas location and has not worked since. The message I am getting is : Windows couldn't automatically bind the IP protocol stack to the network adaptor. My laptop is a Dell Vostro 15 5510.

Conflicting Wi-Fi Messages


Hi.
I have this problem trying to access a ASUS Win 10 computer on a local network.
I am getting these two messages:
One or more network protocols are missing on this computer
Windows Socket Registry Entries Required for Network Connectivity are Missing

I am told that the Wi-Fi is not connected, but the device status says it is working properly



Suggestions please?

Unable to connect to Wi-Fi

However, please let us know:

• What happens when you try to connect to a Wi-Fi network?
  
• Do you receive any error message/code? If yes, what is the error message?
  
• Could you please provide us more information on, “network adapter is not working properly”?
  
• Are you aware of changes made to the computer recently?
  
• Which build version of Windows 10 is installed on the computer? To check type:
  winver in the search bar on the Taskbar and hit
  Enter.
