Windows 10: My Laptop keep randomly sleep and refuses to wake up

Since mid April, my laptop keep randomly sleep and refuses to wake up even when I try to wake it up by pushing the power button, pressing external the one I mainly use keyboard and mouse. It will only wake up after a minute or two, or worse case scenario it wont until I hold press the power button, it shuts down, wont boot for a while and then pressing the touchpad or the laptop's keyboard and then It will wake up. It is annoying and I'm concerned in case it will happen in a middle of a quiz or class since it takes a lot of time just to take me back to the lock screen.What usually happen is

Refer to my experiences, maybe there are still some of your I/O devices wake up it occasionally.

I suggest you unplug your external mouse/keyboard before you make your laptop to sleep mode and see if it can still wake up randomly by itself.

Problem: about 80% of the time, my laptop won't wake up from sleep mode via keyboard press or mouse move/click. I seem to be missing many common features in power plan too, even after fresh Windows 10 install.

Troubleshooting Steps:

1. Reinstalled Windows 10 (clean)
2. Updated all drivers
3. Replicated on multiple Windows 10 versions, updates
4. BIOS latest version
5. No USB devices attached, ever. Only USB-C power and bluetooth mouse
6. Disabled "fast startup" in control panel

Thank you for posting your reply. Apologize for the delay in response.

I suggest you to check which devices are configured to wake up the computer from sleep by following the steps below:

• Right click on Start icon and select Command Prompt (Admin).
• Type the command line below:

Powercfg /devicequery wake_armed

3. Check if the devices (Keyboard, Mouse, Ethernet cable) are listed.

If the system is not going to sleep and going to Hybernate, the only option to wake up is to press the Power button.
