    My laptop keeps BSODing due to Riot Vanguard vgk.sys


    Hello everyone,I have been facing BSODs for last two months due to vgk.sys Riot Vanguard, mandatory requirement to play League of Legends. The issue happens randomly when I am using my laptop. I tried several ways to fix the issue with support from Riot but none of them worked reinstalling Riot Vanguard, graphic drivers etc.. In the end, I decided to do a fresh reinstall of Windows and only install League of Legends which automatically installs Riot Vanguard to check if the BSODs were coming from an interaction between Riot Vanguard and something else on my laptop.     Windows bsod

    1) Reboot

    2) Run Tuneup plus again > post a new share link into the newest post

    3) The newest BSOD indicated that VGK was not yet uninstalled

    Riot Vanguard uninstall error

    Hi Samuele,

    I'm Paul and I'm here to help you with your concern.

    I will recommend that you do a Clean Boot.

    While in clean boot state, uninstall or delete the RIOT Vanguard files.

    Is Riot Vanguard causing my computer to restart?

    For the past couple of months, I have been getting PC restarts. Changing the settings to make the PC not restart only makes it completely freeze. Today I tried the minidump method, and I uploaded them to OneDrive.

    I also took a look at them myself using the WinDbg tool - two of the minidumps pointed towards Riot Vanguard. Am I correct here? Should I just uninstall Riot Vanguard and Valorant for a while and see if that was indeed the issue?
