Windows 10: My laptop keyboards stopped working for a few seconds

yesterday i was using my laptop as usual and i realised that my S, X, Z button suddenly stopped working for a few seconds and then started to work again, its also happening while i was typing this, i tried to troubleshoot it but i cant find the troubleshoot keyboard on the settings, and i havent downloaded anything since yesterday

Keyboard doesn't work on my laptop with Windows 7

This morning, out of the clear blue, my HP KEYBOARD stopped working forcing me to use the On-Screen Keyboard provided by Windows 7 software. I found several web sites that suggested shutting off the computer, remove the battery and hold the on/off button
for longer than ten (10) seconds which assures the battery is totally used up. Then restart the laptop and the keyboard should now work. Unfortunately the keyboard does not

After completing the steps exactly as Microsoft instructed, and restarting the laptop the keyboard still doesn't work.

Does anyone have a solution to get the keyboard to work?

Built in keyboard not working

I recently purchased an ASUS ROG GL553VD Notebook Computer and a few weeks ago the keyboard stopped working. After a few restarts it worked again, but today the problem came back, and was not fixed by any amount of restarting. Several people on past posts said to reinstall they Keyboard driver, but there was no Keyboard section in the Device Manager. I am currently resetting the laptop to factory settings to see if that fixes the issue. Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

 

Windows update caused my keyboard to stop working

The keyboard failure probably happened coincidentally with the update rather than being caused by it. You can find out like so:

• Turn the machine on.
• Wait until the spinning circle appears, then press the power button for 10 seconds to turn the laptop off.
• Repeat the above steps three times. This will get you into Repair Mode.
• Go to advanced options, then select the Command Prompt.
• Check each and every keyboard key.

I think you will find that the problem keys still do not work, even though the current mode is not affected by the recent update. You probably have to replace the keyboard.
