Windows 10: My Laptop power button won't work

My power button won't work because I disabled the built-in keyboard the power button is one of the keys in the keyboard using the command “sc config i8042prt start= disabled“Plus I deleted the keyboard driver. After the battery ran out it shut down and never turned on again. What can I do to turn it on again?I can see the battery light and power plug indicator but nothing happened when I press the power button.I ran several tests to test the laptop battery and power plug-in, all seems fine.

How to disable "5 seconds power button shut off" on a laptop?

I does not suggest you to do this, if you insist on this, try the following steps.

1. Open Control Panel
   
2. Find and click System and Security
   
3. Find and click Power Options
   
4. On the left hand, you will see Choose what the power button does and click it
   
5. Click Change settings that are currently unavailable to be able to change the settings
   
6. In When I press the power button, you can choose Do nothing

Laptop won' t shutdown (or restart) and sleep [takes forever]

The situation:

• When shutting down, the laptop proceeds as normal until the screen turns off.
• After the screen turns off, it takes a while for the battery LED to go off.
• After that the power led remains on and it looks like the laptop is stuck in this state forever.
• When I try to get my laptop to sleep, something similar happens; the power led remains on, the battery led turns off and the laptop appears to be stuck in this state.

My laptop is: Asus FX553VD.

What I've tried:

• I have tried to troubleshoot power management and power options.
• Tried clean boot.
• Updated the BIOS.
• Reinstalled windows and tried shutdown and sleep (without installing the drivers and stuff), however that didn't work either.

Additional Info:

• I have multiple operating systems installed in my laptop, however this problem persists on windows only (the OSes are installed on different drives).
• The disk usage is abnormally high.
• There are spikes in CPU usage that kick up the fan really fast while idle.

Please suggest other ideas as to what I should do?

[It appears that the only option I have left is to reinstall everything]
