Are you putting your laptop to sleep or turning off your laptop before you open the lid?

Open the old Control panel, not the settings app.

At the top of the old Control Panel, set View to icons.

Open Power Options, and click 'Change Plan Settings' on the current plan

Click 'Change Advanced Power settings'.

Is there a 'Power buttons and Lid' section in the resulting list?

if there is, expand that, click on “Lid open action” and change that to 'Do Noting'.

Hi, I have a Lenovo IdeaPad-5, built In windows 11, a problem with it, when I open the lid my laptop automatically turns on (without pressing power button.) Now i want to know that is will be harmful to the laptop? And how can I turn off this problem?

 

Problem with Open Lid power up

I have a Lenovo laptop that I recently purchased. I turn off the power and close the lid. When I open the lid it powers up and I don't want it to. I have gone into power settings and then system settings to change what opening the lid does to "do nothing".
I then pressed apply and ok. I rebooted the laptop and then powered off. When I open the lid it still powers up. What can I do to power up the laptop only when i press the power button? TIA
