    My laptop randomly restarts or it freezes witha black screen


    My HP Pavillion 15 eh2018au randomly restarts or its screen goes black and the cursor freezes.I am very annoyed because of this problem.When I went and checked the event viewer it showed this event ID:Event Id 41 Kernel PowerThis error generally occurs 8-10 times and then goes away on its own and after like a week or two it starts again and goes away.I don't know what is the problem with my laptop please help me.Specs:Ram: 8GBProcessor: Ryzen 5625u

    Black Screen and Keyboard freezes randomly

    Dear Customer Support,

    I have endured with the black screen problem for 3 months and now my keyboard freezes randomly,
    after Windows 10 update.

    1. After the October update, the "restart" windows option always restart with a black screen. I have to press the power button twice to bring up the log in screen. If I do a "shut down" option and restart the PC the login screen is displayed without problem. Can anyone help me?
    2. After the November update my keyboard freezes randomly. I have tried uninstalled the driver or enable keyboard filter and some other methods found in google but still the problem exist. I have to shut down and reboot to have the keyboard working again.
    Very frustrating and not knowing how I can solve the problems. Please help.

    Computer randomly has black screen and restarts

    Taco this could be software also. Before you get all crazy, do as Erocker suggested. Find out the error in the Event Viewer. Look for the faulting module and the error code itself. Also check the reliability monitor. At the bottom it will have "View all Error Reports". Post a screen of whats in there if anything.

    This could be a simple as a bad driver install.

    ALSO have you downloaded or installed anything lately? STAY OUT OF THE DAMN BIOS UNTIL WE KNOW THE ERROR! lol. I know you. Baby steps boy, baby steps.

    I had already tried turning off fast startup, to no avail.
    Will look at the list you provided, thanks. Hard to do when computer freezes on the Windows loading screen though. *Biggrin
    I had tried that as well... no result.
