"My laptop runs smoothly in the morning, then it's becomes laggy in the night" problem

as the title mentions, when playing games in the morning my laptop is smooth but at night it becomes laggyvice versaI play My laptop has the maximum requirements met to play Fallout NV and Dragon Age Origins and I played both games on high settings and got 60+fps. but when it comes to the moment when the laptop is lagging, the fps that I get from those games is only 10-20fps at the lowest setting.the switch between lagging and smooth occurs when I turn off my laptop. sometimes it lags all day long, sometimes it's smooth. I can't predict when.

    :)

  2. Night Light doesn't automatically turn off in the morning

    Hi Wayne Walton,

There could be a number of factors as to why you are experiencing Night Light issue. One possible caused could be due to an outdated graphics driver. You can refer to the steps below on how to troubleshoot Night Light issue is Windows 10:

Method 1: Update the graphics card driver.

    1. Press Windows key + R on your keyboard.
    2. On the run command box, type devmgmt.msc, and then hit Enter.
    3. Expand Display adapters.
    4. Right-click the graphics card driver and then select Update Driver Software.

Method 2: Uninstall and reinstall the graphics card driver.

    1. Press Windows key + R on your keyboard.
    2. On the run command box, type devmgmt.msc, and then hit Enter.
    3. Expand Display adapters.
    4. Right-click the graphics card driver and then select Uninstall.
    5. Restart your computer. The Display Adapter Driver will automatically reinstall after the Restart.

Method 3: Reset Night Light settings manually.

This steps will require you to modify some settings in Registry. This is an advanced troubleshooting so I suggest that you create a
System Restore point so you can go back to this state in case that you will encounter any issues along the process. To create a system restore point, refer to this
    article.

Once you're done creating a system restore point, you may then proceed to modify the registry settings. To do this, refer to the steps below:

    1. Press Windows key + R on your keyboard.
    2. On the run command box, type regedit and then hit
      Enter
      .
    3. Navigate to this path:

      HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\CloudStore\Store\Cache\DefaultAccount
    4. Inside the “DefaultAccount” (folder) key, right-click and delete the following folders:

      $$windows.data.bluelightreduction.bluelightreductionstate

      $$windows.data.bluelightreduction.settings
    5. Restart your computer.

Let us know how it goes and we'll assist you further if needed.

  3. Laptop battery problem

    Hi,

For us to properly isolate the issue with your laptop battery, we would like to know the following:

    • Were there any changes made on your computer prior to the issue (e.g., updates, software installation)?
    • To make sure that we have not missed on anything, what troubleshooting steps have you done so far?

As an initial troubleshooting, we suggest that you run the power troubleshooter. Below are the steps:

    • Type troubleshoot in the search bar.
    • Under Find and fix other problems, look for and select
      Power
      .
    • Click the Run the troubleshooter button, and follow the on-screen instructions to run the troubleshooter.

We look forward to your response.

    Laggy Scroling Problem

Thanks for the suggestion. I've changed the refresh rate through the Nvidia control panel. So I did some expriment while I have my old pc which has a gtx 1060(supports 120hz), I connected my monitor to it via a Displayport cable. I didn't get laggy scrolls. I wonder if there's a problem with my new graphics card.
