laptop says that bluetooth is not available on this device and i must use an external adapter to add bluetooth calability to this computer

Bluetooth not available on this device.

I have two identical HP Pavilion dv7 laptops, both with Intel wireless cards and running the same BIOS versions and Windows 10. On one, Bluetooth works fine. On the other, Bluetooth is missing from Device Manager and there is no Bluetooth on/off slider in the control panel. The Bluetooth troubleshooter says "Bluetooth not available on this device." It should be. I've looked at every existing thread on this topic and tried all the suggested solutions. Nothing works. Not sure when it stopped working, unfortunately, so don't know what triggered it. Any new suggestions appreciated.

 

"Bluetooth is not available on this device" after update

I have recently run an automatic Windows update (update for Windows 10 version 1803 for x64-based Systems (KB4023057)) after which my Bluetooth has stopped functioning. I have tried the solutions suggested in previous discussions to no avail:

-- No Bluetooth listed on Network and Internet settings menu

-- Troubleshooter says "Device does not have Bluetooth"

-- Bluetooth and other devices menu visible, but no button to turn on Bluetooth; a message saying "Bluetooth is turned off" under every saved device

-- Driver update clients won't find Bluetooth-related drivers to update

-- Bluetooth Support Service enabled and running

-- Drivers listed in the Bluetooth folder in Device Manager: Device Identification Service; Microsoft Bluetooth Enumerator; Microsoft Bluetooth LE Enumerator; Qualcomm Atheros AR3012 Bluetooth 4.0. All appear as up-to-date when searching for updates. No
Generic Bluetooth Adapter in sight.

 

All Bluetooth capabilities seem to have disappeared from Laptop, no Bluetooth listed in Device Manager, Troubleshooters says "Device does not have Bluetooth"

I was working like normal and suddenly my Bluetooth mouse stopped working. After some investigation, it seemed that all of a sudden Bluetooth capability disappeared from my laptop entirely. Like completely gone. I couldn’t turn Bluetooth on, and I couldn’t access any Bluetooth devices.

In “Settings”, it says “Couldn’t connect”. I cannot add any Bluetooth devices, and I cannot turn Bluetooth on.

In the “Device Manager”, there is no Bluetooth listed at all, and I am already showing hidden icons

When I run the “Bluetooth troubleshooter”, it says “Device does not have Bluetooth. Bluetooth is not available on this device. Please try using an external adapter to add Bluetooth capability to this computer”

I have tried reinstalling driver from the Intel website, but it did not fix the problem.

All Samsung and Windows updates have been updated.

I have used “Upgrade this PC now” from the Media Creation Tool.

I cannot hard-reset the computer because I do not have any external storage to backup my existing documents and photos.

It is like Bluetooth just completely disappeared. The solution that Samsung had was to have Microsoft send me a way to “use an external adapter to add Bluetooth capability to this computer” with a thumb drive or some other method as the troubleshooter suggested, but they won't do that. Their only solution every time is Hard Reset and that is a thing I do not want to do. As I mentioned, soft reset didn't work.
