Windows 10: My laptop screen got somehow lighter colors but more fade and some images are low quality

Lately my CPU and GPU were reaching high temperature and I was getting few blue screens. Before I managed to go into a center and take the classic maintenance operations blow the dust, reassure the CPU/GPU thermal paste, the screen suddenly got lighter but more fade colors for example the black color appears more like grey. I took care of my PC, temperature is normal everywhere, I get no more blue screens, but this error persists, even after I updated the graphic drivers and took some windows updates. From few benchmark tests I have taken, the quality seems to be exactly where it should b

Display Colors: Fading, Low Contrast And Low Brightness



Hello team,

I have been facing issue of my display colors getting faded, low contrast and low brightness than normal . As soon as I switch to any other window(i.e file explorer, browser...etc) the contrast starts to get back to normal and so does screen regains it colors and brightness. I have tried to update, uninstall display drivers, generic pnp monitors, but nothing helps. I have tried to get it solve with my laptop manufacturer and windows team as well remotely. I had been facing this issue, but all of a sudden it stopped happening, but recently I am facing it again. I have attached a video for and a photo for better understanding, but I am pretty sure it doesnt help for some reason because that what happened with tech support as well. But me personally have notice the significant change. FYI I have tried all options regarding color management as all the options are default, so nothing goes wrong there as well. This issue started again after I had my windows update.

faded color

Help! I Just got a new laptop. It is Lenovo Ideapad. I have tried very setting there is, and the screen is not crisp and clear like my old laptop was/still is. Most of the texts are in a greyscale color and Facebook, etc...is very faded. All the screens
are hard to read and are faded. This is the 2nd Lenovo I bought in the last month. The last one Isent back for the same thing, after I had a help desk try to figure it out and they could not either.

The issue you are facing with Color change, I would like to ask few queries.

• Have you made any changes to the system prior to the issue?
• Since when are you facing this?

You can manually set the different color for start, taskbar, action center and title bar background.

To do so, follow the steps below:

• Click on Start and select Settings.
• From left pane click on Color.
• Choose a color which ever is suited for you.

Referring to the second screen shot, it seems like the operating system you are using is not fully activated. This type of issue occurs only if the OS is not activated. I suggest you to refer the below Microsoft article and check how to resolve the common
activation errors.
