    Windows Updated(16299.309).KB4088776 Restart is required to complete.

    Hi dalchina. Good news, I followed your suggestion and reinstalled the update and now it appears as "installed correctly" *Biggrin Maybe it was not necessary to run the Windows Update Troubleshooter or maybe if necessary. But using it I do not think it could have worsened something. The installation was very fast, unlike the first time it showed step 1 and step 2 completed.

    Repair Disk Error

    It does not show any percentage or what part is completed just a text saying " Reparing disc errors. This may take over an hour to complete " and a loading icon going in circles

    Above that there is HP logo and rest of the screen in black..

    The hard drive is SSD with Intel core i5 8th gen

    Reparing disk errors

    When my windows update got an error my pc started to get blue screens after a few minutes after start up then it just freezes. After I rebooted my pc many times it started to do reparing disk error, but after a few minutes of reparing disk error screen my pc restarts and starts the repair again
