Windows 10: My laptop shuts down every night at the same time and I cannot change it.

I can turn it on, but I am not allowed to log in, it tells me that is is time to take a break and locks me out until 7 the next morning. It asks me to either; request more time, parent or guardian log in or to shutdown. I am not apart of any family group nor do have any screen limits set. It is a new laptop and I have tried everything to fix it. It gives me error codes however when I type these into google it does not recognise them. What do I do?

I also suggest you to sync the time zone with internet time zone and check if it helps.

• Click on date and Time from the action bar.
• Click on Add clocks for different time zone.
• Click on Internet Time Tab.
• Change according to your preference.

Changing Time Format

There's a possibility that the set up time format in your computer Basic Input/Output System (BIOS) is military time. To have this checked, you can try to reset the time of your computer through Control Panel. See the steps below on how to do
so:

• Open Control Panel > Clock, Language, and Region >
  Change date, time, or number formats. This would open the
  Region window.
• From there, click on Additional settings at the bottom part. It will open the Customize Format.
• Click Reset; then, OK.

The steps should work; however, if not, we suggest that you contact manufacturer and have the BIOS time checked.

Laptop won't shut down

To do this, kindly follow the steps listed below:

• Type troubleshooting in the Search bar and press

• Click on View all on the left-side of the page.
  
• Click on each category below then follow the on-screen prompt to run the troubleshooter:

• Hardware and Devices
  
• Power
  
• Windows Update

Note: Make sure that you restart your PC after running the troubleshooter for each category.
