    My laptop shuts down randomly when I connect it via HDMI to a monitor.


    My laptop works perfectly without any problems without a monitor. I tried on several monitors to see if I have the same problem and it was the same. The laptop does not overheat. If I use it without a monitor or without an HDMI connection, there is no problem.     We’d like to get more information regarding this issue.

    1. Are you trying to connect for the first time?
    2. If not, has it worked before?

    It seems that the monitor/TV which you are trying to connect does not have setting to change input mode. Kindly refer to suggestion provided by 'Sandeep
    Ghatuary    ' dated July 1st 2011 HDMI - connect desktop computer
    to monitor    .

    Laptop shut down often while connecting to a hdmi cable

    Last year i use hdmi to monitor had no problem.I had this problem already for a couple weeks. When i connected to the hdmi cable my laptop will shutdown by itself even though when i am just only using google or zoom.My laptop resolution was 1366x768 and when i connected to hdmi it will change to 1920x1080.So i tried change the monitor resolution to 1366x768 but it also shut down by itself.When im just only using the laptop and it has no problem.
