Windows 10: My laptop suddenly factory reset by itself

My laptop was on sleep mode before this happened. When I opened it and left it on lockscreen mode, it suddenly rebooted and then said “Resetting this PC”. Now, I’m stuck in the Windows Repair Environment. I tried doing Reset PC then Keep my files, but it didn’t work. I cannot reset and delete all my files because I need everything in it. Please help me. I need to use my laptop ASAP.

Windows 7 Laptop - Cannot reset to factory settings

I have been trying to reset my laptop to sell and followed instructions to reset to factory settings as below

1. Select the category “System and Security” in the control panel.
   
2. In the section “Backup and restore” you can find “Recover system settings on your computer” and then click on “Advanced recovery settings”.
   
3. Then, you need to click on “Return your computer to factory condition
   

I do not have the option Return your computer to factory condition in step 3

Any ideas?

I also have the added challenge that my keyboard does not work as I spilt water on it.

This has taken me hours to try and resolve!!

As you have a laptop, ensure that the laptop is not running on battery and the power cable is plugged in to the socket.
