Windows 10: My laptop was stolen, if I remove from my devices what will happen to the laptop?

My laptop was stolen from my car in the middle of the night. I've signed out of my google accounts connected to the laptop, I also reset my password on the password manager that I use. I try to locate the device and lock it, but I continue to receive the error message "We can't locate your device right now" and "We can't lock your device right now". The battery shows it at 0%.How will Removing the device Unlinking it from my account mean and help?

Sign in to account.live.com. If your device is listed like in screenshot 1, click 'See all'. On the next screen, if you've activated 'Locate device' you'll see it's location if it was signed in. The Remove laptop' option is highlighted. Good Luck.

Removing vs Unlinking MS Account on Stolen Laptop

My Laptop has recently been stolen and I want to remove my Microsoft Account from the stolen laptop. If I unlink my device will it do that? If not is there a way to remove my account from the stolen device so whoever took my laptop can't use any MS Products?

Sign into your Microsoft account. There should be a "devices" tab towards the right. Open that tab and remove the device from the list. Also, change your Microsoft account password as recomended.
