My laptop went off but the caps lock was on so I tried holding down the power button for 30 seconds, 20 seconds in the screen started to kick in a white background every 5 seconds

This is likely to be one of those where, as I don't know what you've already tried, I'll have spent time suggesting what you have tried. That's why I asked for a clear list of what you have tried. Do you see this when you toggle caps lock?

 

CAPS LOCK

Sometimes there is something stuck under Caps or Caps lock key, so hold laptop or keyboard upside down over trash can while powered off and gently rake the keyboard to dislodge crumbs.
