Windows 10: My laptop won't allow me to have a slideshow as my lock screen

When I select it as a picture to personalise my lock screen then windows recognises the album as having photos in it but when selecting slideshow it doesn't recognise the images

  Type Lock screen in the search bar and press enter

  Select Advanced Slideshow settings
  
• 
  Click on Turn off screen after slideshow has played for and select the time limit

Lock Screen Slideshow

So i just tried the lock screen slideshow when the date changed to march 1st and now it works again, WTF?
