    My laptop won't go into suspension mode


    Guys I need some help. I have an ASUS Laptop (f509fj-ej109t). From yesterday if I press the power button the PC turns off the display but I can still hear the fan at max speed. Also every connected peripherals remain on (my RGB keyboard keeps the lights on). When I click any key, it turns on and goes directly to the desktop or to the app I was using before, and it doesn't ask me for my PIN. Until 2 days ago the PC did go into suspension and the fan used to stop, every accessory turned off and when I turned it back on it used to ask me the PIN. Now the only way to leave it on the desk without it being noisy/flashy or to put it into a bag and not have it drain its battery in 1 hour is to turn it off or to use the ibernate function. Does any of you know if I can fix this or if it's a bug of Windows and I have to wait?

    Hi Andree,

    Hardware and software conflict is one of the possible reasons why you're experiencing black screen. Sometimes, it is also because of hardware failure. To get this issue fixed, we suggest that you
    boot into Safe Mode by following these steps:

    • Turn off your computer 3 times while booting. Windows should automatically boot to the Recovery Environment after 3 unsuccessful attempts in a row.
    • Once you are within the Recovery Environment, select Troubleshoot, and then
      Advanced options, then Startup Settings, and
      Restart      . When it restarts, you should see a number of options. Press 5 or F5 for
      Safe Mode with Networking.
    Once your computer is in Safe Mode, please follow the workaround provided on this
    link. Simply select the similar case that you're experiencing to show the troubleshooting steps.

    Let us know how it works.
