    My laptop won't use the microphone in my Apple headphones


    I have a pair of Apple Earbuds headphones with a microphone and a 3.5mm jack and an asus tuf a15FA506QM. When I plug the headphones into the "headphone" jack, I can hear sound through them instead of the onboard speakers, but when I plug them into the microphone jack, my laptop still uses the onboard mic instead of the one in the headphones. They seem to work on my phone, though. I am using a Realtek audio driver, but I can't find it on Realtek's website and on my computer, it just says "Realtek R Audio", not "Realtek HD Audio" or something like that. Also, no matter where I plug th

    I have a pair of Apple Earbuds (headphones with a microphone and a 3.5mm jack) and an MSI GT75 Titan. When I plug the headphones into the "headphone" jack, I can hear sound through them instead of the onboard speakers, but when I plug them into the microphone
    jack, my laptop still uses the onboard mic instead of the one in the headphones. They seem to work on my iMac, though. I am using a Realtek audio driver, but I can't find it on Realtek's website and on my computer, it just says "Realtek (R) Audio", not "Realtek
    HD Audio" or something like that. Also, no matter where I plug the headphones into my laptop, it doesn't show them in the list of devices - even when I plug them into the 'headphone" jack where the headphones part works properly. Can someone please help?

    Apple Headset/Microphone not working

    So there's no kind of adaptor that will work for this to enable the jack to accept audio and microphone?? Every adaptor I've looked at doesn't support the microphone function. This is so odd as my manager uses an Apple headphone in his laptop and his android phone with no problem.

    Okay, so I have an Asus laptop with Windows 10. I am using an Ultimate Ears Headphone with built in microphone. The problem is that i want to use the headphone part, but all the the laptop registers is the microphone.

    How can I change this, as i cannot watch videos without disturbing others.
