BSOD appears at almost any time, even just after 30 minutes after I boot my laptop up, and it could happen multiple times a day which is really frustrating. Sometimes, it's not even a bluescreen but the screen turns black the screen is still on but only shows a black screen and my laptop just stopped responding, only thing I could do was force shutdown by holding the boot button. I been deleting/reinstalling programs but to no avail so I'm thinking it's not an app's fault. Most common errors were: "IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL" and "KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED". There are few other ones too but I c

  2. Laptop regularly gets BSOD. Win 10 - ntoskrnl.exe. Looking for ideas

    Hi Dave,

There are several reasons as to why you are experiencing BSOD in your laptop. It can be due to a corrupted Windows update, missing device driver or a recently installed hardware or software which is incompatible with your system. Regarding your concern,
we have checked the links that you have provided and found out that the third-party VPN client causes BSOD in your laptop. We suggest that you remove and see if it will resolve the issue. Here's how:

    • Select the Start button then click
      Settings.
    • Go to System > Apps & features.
    • RIght-click on the third-party VPN client and select Uninstall.
    • Once done, try to check if you're still having BSOD upon waking up your laptop.

You can also check out this
    support article
for further assistance in troubleshooting BSOD. Kindly follow the steps under
    While using my PC.

Let us know how it goes. We'll be glad to assist you further.

    Getting BSOD 0x124 error

    Ignore what everone said here.

0x124 BSOD is usually related to VCCIO (VTT), run Prime95 version 26.6 with custom sizes of 512K to 640K with 50% of your memory for at least 8 hours.

If you get a 0x124 BSOD, increase VCCIO voltage by small steps, run Prime95 again until your stable.

If you pass Prime95 512K to 640K without a BSOD, then its Vcore too low. I'd suggest running IntelBurnTest with 80% of your memory to verify stability (8 to 12 hours).

Oh, and yeah, if this problem appeared all of the sudden, the reason is CPU degradation, you can prevent it by enabling C-States or adjust your overclock to use lower voltages.
