Windows 10: My laptop's keyboard is mistyping and some letters, how to solve this?

The num pad and the function keys are working properly but the alphabet keys and the number keys above them have gone absolutely crazy. pressing 'e' is typing 're'pressing 'r' is also typing 're''t' and 'u' separately typing 'tu''f' and 'n' typing 'fn''g' and 'h' typing 'gh''v' and 'b' typing 'vb'and the number keys above the alphabet keys are also misbehaving'5' and '7' typing '57''6' and '8' typing '68'I have tried changing keyboard layout, uninstalling keyboard software, even tried reinstalling windows but none of them work. Can it be a hardware problem? if not how can I solve this?

As you can see from the subject my keyboard constantly mistypes. i have to keep correcting the letters or adding in the missed ones

What sort of mistypes?

If it is mostly missing char, have you cleaned you keyboard recently?

Unplug it

go outside (or in the bathtub)

turn it keys facing down

briskly brush your hand back and forth across the keys (to "bounce" dirt caught in the updsidown keys out.

If it has been a long time since you cleaned it, there can be a disgusting shower of dustbunnies and cookie crumbs come falling out (which is why I suggest you do it outside!).

• Try a different keyboard (or an external USB keyboard in case of a laptop)
• See if the problem persists with the on-screen keyboard (osk.exe)
