Windows 10: My laptop's keyboard keeps on disconnecting and it is getting annoying

For the past 1 year, my laptop has faced a problem with the keyboard. The keyboard disconnects randomly. As I am writing this, I had to forcefully shut down my laptop 11 times because I cant escape due to the keys not working since I am playing games. While playing games, the problem has occurred 2 times and 11 times due to shut down. It seems it mainly happens when my device reaches 50-60 degree temperature but sometimes it happens out of the blue. It works sometimes when I forcefully shutdown and 90% working rate if I actually shut down. But when I forcefully shutdown, it doesnt work and I h

Suggest you to plug in an external keyboard to the laptop to check if that helps.

Further you may also use the onscreen keyboard to check if that helps.

Follow these steps to launch the On-screen keyboard:

  Press Windows key + R to get the run window.

  Type “osk” and hit enter to launch the On-screen keyboard and check if this helps.

Internal laptop keyboard keeps connecting/disconnecting

Hello,

The internal keyboard on my laptop (Dell XPS 15) keeps connecting/disconnecting. Is there a fix to this? My windows is up to date.

 

The mouse stays connected but the keyboard keeps disconnecting in Windows 10.
