Keyboard not working

I have hp envy laptop with touchscreen. I never used the touchscreen keyboard until i had problems with keyboard on the laptop couple hours ago. Some of the Keys werent working at all, some would type numbers or incorrect letters or type commas after each letter. I tried adding and changing languages, and restoring system. Now, the laptop keyboard including function keys and the mouse doesnt work at all. When i go into control panel under keyboard- typing the only option listed is for touchscreen. Not sure if i somehow manged to disengage the main keyboard and mouse. Please help!

 

Keyboard only outputs letter "z" , "/" and "\" NEED HELP

I was just playing Fortnite yesterday and all of a sudden, my character was stuck running and I can't Alt+Tab or see the light glow when I press the Capslock button. Therefore, I restarted my laptop assuming that it will fix the issue. But it did not. Some
keys are not outputting anything, some are inputting the letters "z", "/" and "\". Like when I press the letters asd, it will output of "z\". I tried uninstalling my keyboard laptop in the Device Manager but it didn't help at all. Leading to a conclusion that
it may be a software/hardware problem. Or a virus, but I scanned throughout my laptop and didn't find anything. I am using the on screen keyboard at the moment. Need help please

 

Keyboard Typing Additional Letters

First try cleaning your keyboard.

If that does not work then go to search and type troubleshoot.

Scroll to keyboard and run that.

Also if this is a bluetooth keyboard run that troubleshooter as well and replace batteries or charge the device.

if not of that works This maybe an issue with your drivers.

Try these steps.

Select the Start button, type Device Manager, and select it from the list of results.

Expand Keyboards then right-click (or tap and hold) it, and select Update Driver.

Select Search automatically for updated driver software and follow the on-screen instructions to update the drivers.

If no updates were found, then right-click on the mouse select Uninstall.

Restart your PC and Windows will attempt to reinstall the driver.
