Windows 10: My Lib file doesnt get created when I build a static library.

Hi. I'm trying to build a static library for crypto++. I'm running windows 11 24h2, visual studio 22, c++ 20. This is my build errors: 'stdext::checked_array_iterator::_Unwrapped': warning STL4043: stdext::checked_array_iterator, stdext::unchecked_array_iterator, and related factory functions are non-Standard extensions and will be removed in the future. std::span since C++20 and gsl::span can be used instead. The static library size of wxwidget got increased when compiled with Visual 2015 in release and debug mode

Hi,

We are migrating our application from 32-bit visual studio 2008 to 64-bit visual studio 2015, project dependency is 3rd party library wxwidget. When compiled wxwidget with visual studio 2015 for 64-bit, i am seeing a huge difference in created static
lib both in release and debug mode compare to visual studio 2008 library.

Could you please point out what would be the reason for the same? what configuration i might be missing?

Building up a library on Windows Media Player

Hi Jorge,

Thank you for posting your query in Microsoft Community.

I suggest you to rebuild the Media Library on your computer and check for the issue.

Follow the below provided steps.

• Shutdown Windows Media Player.
• Stop the media sharing service. Go to Start>Control Panel>All Control Panel Items>Administrative Tools>Services.
• Right-click on the “Windows Media Player Network Sharing Service” and select
  Stop.
• Navigate to “c:\Users\”your username”\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Media Player. Now delete the files named
  CurrentDatabase_***.wmdb and LocalMLS_*.wmdb.
• Start the media sharing service.
• Now start Windows Media Player and watch it build up your library again.
