Windows 10: My lock screen option in Personalization is currently stuck on windows spotlight, how can I...

As the title states I cannot change my lock screens personalization mode it just stays stuck on windows spotlight and it tells me that its managed by my organization, I am running windows 11 pro, and not the ed version. I was able to do it before I had to reinstall windows.

Windows Spotlight on the lock screen

There are multiple causes on why you're encountering this issue. To further troubleshoot the issue, we suggest that you disable and re-enable Spotlight. Simply follow the steps below:

• Right-click on the desktop and open Personalize.
• Open Lock Screen tab.
• Under Background, switch from Windows Spotlight to a Picture or the Slideshow.
• Click OK and close the Window.
• Now Log off and log in.
• Navigate to Lock screen and enable Windows Spotlight again.

Lock screen stuck on picture. I chose the Windows Spotlight option.

Try these steps:

• In Personalization->Lock Screen settings change Background to Picture.
• Delete everything from folder
  
  C:\Users\<USERNAME>\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.Windows.ContentDeliveryManager_<somecharacters>\Settings
• In Personalization->Lock Screen settings change Background back to Windows Spotlight

 

No Lock screen in Windows 10.

I suggest you to follow the steps below to set the lock screen option as Windows Spotlight and check if it helps.

1. Right click on Desktop screen.

2. Then click on Personalize.

3. Click on Lock Screen.

4. Try to select Windows Spotlight from the list.
