Windows 10: My Mapped Drives disconnected once per month or so.

I have 2 mapped drive. Every each a month or so, one or both of my drives were disconnected by somehow. It have occurred about 3 times in total. For the latest disconnection, is only one drive this time.Z:\Personal - This drive is fine.Q:\Shared Folder - Disconnected after a windows boot.Both of them are:1. Set to "Reconnect at sign-in", checked the persistent status is "Persistent Connection" and "Resource Remembered" on command prompt. 3 Times.2. No need credentials to log in because the file server is open.3. Event logs doesn't show any disconnections. No errors. I used

Mapped Network Drive Disconnects and Will Not Reconnect

OS:Windows 10 V20H2
PC: Dell XPS8940
Router: Netgear R7000 w/ TomatoUSB

• Nine of ten mapped network drives on my desktop PC behave normally! The tenth is a problem. It is mapped to the USB drive connected to my router.
• Sometimes (days) I cannot connect to this mapped drive and it fails to reconnect. At that point I can still connect to this drive from ALL other devices on my Workgroup LAN. None of those devices have the drive mapped!
• For a short time, using "Net Use" shows the drive trying reconnect. Later it says "Disconnected".
• The only way I have found to reconnect to that drive is to perform:
  1. net use U: /delete
  2. net use U: \\HARENET-HD\data
• This problem has started within the last several months. Maybe it's related to a Windows update??

Unable to Open/Disconnect a Mapped Drive in Windows 10

To resolve this issue, please follow the steps on how to disconnect a Mapped drive below:

• Right click on Start button > select
  Command Prompt (Admin).
• Type " mountvol /r "
• Reboot your computer.

As you have mentioned that you have removed the mapped drives through GPO and still the drive keeps appearing, I suggest you to try removing the mapped drive by running the Net use command in Command Prompt and see if that helps. Please follow the
steps mentioned below:

1. Press Windows key + S, and type Command Prompt.
   
2. Right click on the Command Prompt icon and select
   Run as administrator.
   
3. Now, type net use f: \\financial\public /delete
   (Replace f: \\financial\public with the drive name)
