Windows 10: My microphone locks up when using an internet connection such as zoom , meet, teams, etc.

Windows 11My microphone locks up when using an internet connection such as zoom , meet, teams, etc. This happened on 10/28/24. The only updates I found applied on that day is "Intel - SoftwareComponent - 2412.80.252.0" but I can't find a way to back out that version.I've tried:* Removing the audio device Windows re-added it upon restart* using an external microphone and speaker but with the same results* rolled back the last two windows updates* manually restarting audio using command lineFor troubleshooting, 1. Open Audacity and test microphone - success2. Open zoom application and test

My microphone is not recognized for zoom or team meetings. Why?

 

Zoom, Microsoft TEAMS, Google meet, and any online app not getting permission to use microphone/ camera

Camera and microphone are not connecting when using Zoom, TEAMS, or Google Meet. However, it works when using Skype which is downloaded on the laptop. The default camera app on the laptop has functioning microphone and video.

I have gone through the permissions settings on windows and have made sure that the apps have the relevant permissions. I have also updated the driver. Nothing makes a difference. Cannot use Zoom etc on Chrome, or any other browser.

The Zoom and TEAMS apps do not show up on the list below. And they also do not show on the similar list for Camera settings.

Urgent help needed! Have interviews for job and they're all on Zoom and/ or TEAMS.

 

Internal microphone and Microsoft teams

I recently attended a meeting on Microsoft Teams and I could not get the microphone to unmute. It seemed to recognize the microphone as it was listed and chosen but would not unmute. It kept sending me to the camera icon which had nothing listed to do with the microphone. It works fine in zoom.
