Windows 10: my microphone on my JBL Quantum 100 headset is not working

I have had this PC for 3 years and no matter what i do i cannot have a headpone and microphone which works and registers so the other day i bough a new quantum 100 to see if i would finally be able to communicate with my friends and found that it too does not work, it is frustrating as I have no clue what to do, i have the ASUS Z690 A motherboard with wifi and the quantum 100 heaset as i stated but the audio works just fine but the microphone in no way works, and this was always an issue as my headphones microphone was never ever detected before which is what frustrates me

Hello i got problem with my JBL quantum 100 headset which it cannot be detected in my laptop. Even yesterday Dell technical engineer already reset and installed new drive via virtually still has problem with it. My other headset working fine this new headset cant be detected. Can anyone help me please. Thanks

 

JBL Quantum 100 Headset microphone not detected by my laptop and Windows

i bought a jbl quantum 100, i can hear perfectly but my mic is not working at all. i plug it into my laptop, ASUS TUF GAMING FX504.

My laptop has Windows 10. The microphone is separate from the headset, and it can only be plugged into the headset itself. First issue is, when i plug in the headset, there's no pop-up window asking me what kind of device is connected, it immediately lists it as "Realtek High Definition Audio, Speakers" in the control panel. I couldn't enable this pop-up because i can't open Realtek HD Audio Manager. i tried troubleshooting, reinstalling every sound driver.

In control panel, when i open "Sound", i see every device (even ones that are disabled or not connected), and this mic is not listed there. I have no other microphones connected to the PC. I'd really appreciate it if someone could help me.
