Windows 10: my microphone stutters in games but when i listen to it through my settings it works perfectly.

Hello,I recently built a new PC and installed the drivers and everything, but when I talk in Discord or Fivem did not try other apps I stutter a lot, making it impossible to understand me, but when I listen to myself through my Windows settings, there are no problems and the microphone works perfectly.My specs: Motherboard: Asus rog b650e-f gamingCPU: AMD Ryzen 7 9700xGPU: Nvidia RTX 3070Ram: Kingston Furry 2x16GB 6000mhzPower supply: EVGA 1000G+I hope somebody can help me out.Greetings,Joran Janssen.

Privacy Microphone Settings Not Working.

We understand that the Microphone Privacy settings for the Xbox Game Recorder is not working.
In order to get clarity and to assist you accordingly, please reply with the answers to the questions below:

• What is the Version and Build of Windows 10 installed on the PC? (Type
  winver in Windows search/Run command)
• What is the make and model of the PC?
• Are you aware of any changes on the PC prior to this issue?

Meanwhile, we would suggest you to perform these steps and check.

1. Press Windows + R key to open Run command.
2. Type mmsys.cpl and click Ok.
3. Select the Recording tab from the top.
4. Right click on the microphone and select both
   Properties.
5. Click on Listen tab and check the box beside Listen to this device.
6. Click on Apply and OK.

If the issue persists, then we would suggest you to create a new administrator user account and check, refer this article to
create a local user or administrator account in Windows 10.



Let us know the results. If the issue persists, we will certainly assist you further.

microphone stopped being recognised by Windows 10 - worked perfectly for two years

My microphone stopped working. Windows 10 just doesn't recognise it if I plug it in or disconnect it. It was working perfectly a few hours ago and nothing has changed. Any suggestions? If I right click on the speaker icon, go to Recording Devices its not
listed. And if I disconnect it by USB and reconnect it, it doesn't show any activity in the window relating to it. Any suggestions?

 

I can listen to a microphone in sound settings but it doesn't work with other programs

As said in the title, if I go to sound settings, I can listen to the microphone perfectly fine, but it doesn't work in any other programs. It was working fine, until I adjusted my microphone volume (as it was too quiet) and it just stopped working in other
programs past that point. I can see the microphone and listen to it, but other programs don't recognize it.

I saw another post where someone had the same problem, and they said to reinstall the drivers. I tried that, and I'm still having the same problem. Is this a known bug with Windows? If so, how do I fix it, or if there's a workaround, what is it?
