Windows 10: My microphone volume is super low and people cant hear me.

So i recently installed a fresh version of Windows on my laptop. People cant hear me from other consoles/computers. If i tap on my headset microphone it makes sound. Also when i try to increase the volume, the slider works but the number doesnt go up.I'm on Windows 11 with a Ryzen 5 3500U and AMD Radeon Vega 8 Graphics, on a Huawei laptop.I've tried:Increasing the microphone volumeIncreasing the microphone boostDisabling audio enhancementTurning down the audio qualityRestarted my computerTaking out and putting back the 3.5mm cableRunning the sound troubleshooter

My microphone volume is very low so no one can hear me i tried but volume is still low and they can't hear me properly

 

Microphone has low volume on Windows 10

I was using windows 7. I could use the microphone at 50~60% and everyone could hear me perfect.

Now that I installed windows10, even if I'm really close to the microphone, the volume bars doesn't move at all...

If I set it to 100% people can barely hear me.

I tried everything I found on the internet, which is not much... Please, any suggestion is welcome

What headset is the one you are having issues with?

First I suggest increasing the volume of your microphone. Here's how to do this in Windows 11:

1. Select Start > Settings > System > Sound.

2. In Input, select a microphone to see its properties.

3. In Input volume, make sure the blue bar adjusts as you speak into the microphone.

If it doesn't, go to Test your microphone and Start test. This will help you troubleshoot any issues with your microphone.
