    Update of an app fails due to "licensing problems"

    Hello El-Gunsito - everyone.

    For the symptoms you are describing, I would suggest the following steps:

    • Delete the app from the Phone by tapping and holding on the app and then tapping “delete”.
    • Go back to Marketplace and reinstall the app.
    If that doesn’t work:

    • Turn off the phone, remove the battery for 30 - 60 seconds, replace the battery and restart the phone. Removing the battery may not be absolutely necessary but I don't want to tell you to try it later my microsoft cannot work, it tells me as the license for this app cannot found :)
    • Repeat the first 2 steps above.
    Let us know if this works.

    Mail app will not open on 10041.

    Hello Adam,

    This is the suggested solution below if you haven't already tried it. my microsoft cannot work, it tells me as the license for this app cannot found :)

    In this Windows 10 build 10041, the Mail, Calendar, and People apps may be broken due to a licensing issue with the Store Beta. To get these apps working again, you need to follow these steps:

    • Open powershell as administrator
    • Run the command Get-appxprovisionedpackage –online | where-object {$_.packagename –like “*windowscommunicationsapps*”} | remove-appxprovisionedpackage –online
    • Re-install Mail, People and Calendar from the Store (green tile)

    How to tell if my Win 10 Pro license is tied to a Microsoft account?

    Thanks. In summary, with the information I provided, I have a local account and my copy of Win 10 Pro is linked to my Microsoft account. If I do have an activation issue, these steps should work: Use Activation Troubleshooter in Windows 10 Correct? Just want to make sure I don't need to do anything else beforehand.
