    Microsoft Flight Simulator issue after Windows 10 Upgrade

    Hi Rahul,



    Thank you for contacting Microsoft Community.



    I suggest you to completely uninstall Microsoft Flight Simulator and check.

    Refer the steps below to uninstall.

    • Press “Windows key + X”, select Control panel.
    • Open programs and features.
    • In the list of installed programs, select Microsoft Flight Simulator, and then click
      Remove.


    Note: If you have earlier versions of Flight Simulator in the list of installed programs, you will have to remove them in addition to Flight Simulator.



    Reinstall the Flight Simulator.



    Please reply to us if the issue still persist.

    Microsoft Flight Simulator

    Microsoft Flight Simulator was working up until two days ago.

    The game now does not start 'because its side-by-side configuration is incorrect'.

    I have followed the suggested help options (Library to Properties to Local Files and 'Verify Integrity of Game Files' but to no effect.

    I have uninstalled and reinstalled both Steam and Flight Simulator, but the game still does not work.

    I thought of simply buying a new version of the game but am not given the option.

    Advice please?

    “Flight simulator 2020 standard redeemed code OK , MFS launcher install, NOT in Microsoft store library, Reinstalled FS twice now to no avail”

    Purchased a DVD version of PC Microsoft Flight Simulator Standard edition 2020 with activation code.



    1. Loaded all 10 DVD disks. 93GB and 59119 files

    1. Redeemed activation Code.

    1. Started Download of software launcher which was unfortunately interrupted before all download completed.

    Now when I try and reinstall using DISK 1 it boots into Microsoft Store.

    No Microsoft Flight simulator software launcher in library.

    Uninstalled and reinstalled again - same problem

    However got an email notification from Microsoft on product purchase.

    HELP !!!!!!!
