I have two Windows 11 laptops. One of the signs on to not real IDs FRED.ABC, the other to FRED.XYZ. I want both to be FRED.ABC.I want both to use OneDrive with an ID of FRED.ABC. One does this, the other keeps changing itself to FRED.XYZ.I do not have Office 365 on either laptop.When I had only the laptop using FRED.ABC, OneDrive folder and its contents had a RED or GREEN flag beside each item. That indicated whether or not the file or folder had synced OK. That flag isn't there now.When I looked at a file within the OneDrive folder on the FRED.ABC laptop, I can see changes I made today. Right click on the app and one of the properties has an option to not automatically start it. Uncheck, restart the computer, and it should stop. If you want to go another step further, find the OneDrive app in the start menu, right click on it and uninstall.

If that is still insufficient, there is a batch uninstaller for OneDrive available online. I can copy the code here if you need it.

[/quote] Click to expand... Sorry, but I think you're confused and keep referring to Onedrive. There is a big difference between the consumer version of Onedrive business O365 version. I do not have the consumer version of Onedrive installed... it is Onedrive for Business. Also, this script is for "Onedrive" .... not Onedrive for Business. Thanks anyway.

No thanks for providing a non-rant version. I ought to recruit about 20 million people and walk down to Microsoft headquarters and do them in. Tired of Microsoft forcing their childish development skills on the masses.

 

Recovery of onedrive user id and password.

This will be the same email address and password combination that you use for your Microsoft Account.

Depending on whether your phone is on WP8.1 or Windows 10 Mobile, the exact steps might be slightly different.

Go to Settings, and then go to Email and Accounts. Whatever is listed first as your Microsoft Account is the email address you want to use for your OneDrive (in most cases).

If you can't remember the password for your Microsoft Account, from the web you can go the steps for "I forgot my password" on any Microsoft log in page. If you need help with this, ask below and someone can walk you through it.
