Windows 10: My Microsoft Notepad App is no longer working. It is not reinstalling after I uninstalled...

My MS notepad isn't working anymore. It stopped suddenly today and after resetting and repairing it didn't work, I uninstalled it and tried reinstalling it from the Windows Store. Now that I'm trying though it says that it can't install as the app is already open. I've checked running processes on task manager and confirmed there isn't any notepad open. I've also rebooted my system to no change. What do I do?

I would suggest you to uninstall Notepad and reinstall it.

To uninstall Nopetad follow the steps below:

Press Win+I to open the Settings.

Go to Apps > Apps & Features.

In the right pane, click on ‘Optional Features’

Type Notepad in the search box and click on Uninstall.

If you have uninstalled the Notepad application and now want it back, you can easily reinstall it in a few simple steps.

Open Settings and go to Apps & Features

In the right pane, click on Optional Features.

Click on Add a Feature

Type Notepad in the search bar or scroll down to find it.

Click on Notepad and Install.

Try to launch Notepad and see if it works.

Notepad on Windows 7\

Suggestion would be uninstall then new install on Win7. Maybe an older version would work better? A list, maybe Version 7?

• How are you trying to associate Outlook.com account with the Notepad App?
• Did you try contacting the Notepad App developer regarding the sync issue?

If not, I suggest you to contact the developer and let us know regarding the results.
