Windows 10: My microsoft pen is not working with my laptop but works with other ones

when i try to use my pen on my laptop, it doesn't work. I've tried lots of things and it won't work. I tried it on someone else's laptop and it works... please tell me how to fix it.

3. Are you aware of any recent changes made on the device prior to this issue?
   
4. Which version of Windows is installed on your device?

for the troubleshooting steps. The same troubleshooting steps can also be implemented for the other pens as well.

Pen flicks won't work at all for me after the fall update.

Hi Brown,

One possible reason why pen flicks won't work after the update is due to corrupted system files. To assist you better, kindly answer the following questions:

• Are you getting any error messages?
• What troubleshooting steps have you done so far?

Meanwhile, we suggest that you follow these steps below on how to properly set flick settings:

• Press Windows key + x, and select Control Panel.
• Open Pen and Touch applet.
• Touch the Flicks tab.
• Ensure that the Use flicks to perform common actions quickly and easily is checked.
• Set the Sensitivity slider to the left (Relaxed).
• Touch Apply and OK.

FOR INSPIRON 5379 ONLY - recently bought new pen that connects but does not work

Please open this page to check if this is the Surface Pen you're referring. If
it is, it shows a list of devices in the Tech Specs compatibility section. It doesn't say that it works with Dell. May we know where you saw the information that it works? From what you stated with the steps you did in the attempt to troubleshoot the issue,
this is a hardware compatibility issue. We suggest that you return the pen and exchange it with a pen/stylus that will work with your Dell laptop. Please check further with Dell Support for pens/stylus that will work on your device.
