Windows 10: My Microsoft Store Got Deleted After I Reset My PC, How Do I Fix It?

Hello! My name is Bog and I'm a Laptop user. My Windows version is Windows 10 and I've encountered a problem. A while ago, I was forced to reset my PC due to a problem with my screen. After the reset, the problem was fixed, but several pre-installed apps disappeared. The majority of these apps depended on Microsoft Store, which was also missing. I looked everywhere for it, and then came here. I saw plenty of solutions to this issue, but none truly worked for me. Whenever I open an app that depends on Microsoft Store, especially games, I always get the notification: "You'll need a new app to op

Why did you delete them?

It wasn't working for me, set up as live tile but not updating the picture. I then went to featured app in the store as you suggested, then ran wsreset and it started working.

Was that your steps? I did read them but I forgot what they are now and I seem to have only done 2 steps.

• What is the Windows 10 Version and Build installed? (Type winver
  in Windows search/Run command)
• What is the make and model of the PC?
• Are you aware of any changes on the PC prior to this issue?

Let us try few steps and check



Step 1:
Run the Windows Store Apps Troubleshooter

Select the Start button, and then select Settings>Update & Security
> Troubleshoot > Additional troubleshooters, and then from the list select Windows Store apps > Run
the troubleshooter.



Step 2: Running PowerShell Command

1. Press Windows + X key and select
Windows PowerShell (Admin).

2. Copy and paste this command, then press enter:
Get-AppXPackage *WindowsStore* -AllUsers | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register “$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml”}

3. Restart PC and che



Step 3: New user account

We would suggest you to create a new user account with administrative rights. Creating a new user account will not remove any data, app or settings from your current user account, this is just a troubleshooting steps to eliminate

Since running the troubleshooter for Windows app didn't work, we suggest resetting Windows Store by following the steps below to resolve your issue:

• Type Apps & features on search box/Cortana and click on it.
• Look for Microsoft Store app and click on Advance options.
• Click Reset button and retest.
