Windows 10: My Microsoft Surface book 2 does not charge with its magnetic charger.

,I have tried putting it either way tried with different power outlets etc,The charger seem to be all okay.There is no light on too. i tried with the tablet and base ,it seem to not detect the charger.

Surface Book 2 charging problem

Hello Microsoft community,

during the last couple of days I am having a problem with charging my Microsoft Surface Book 2 - when i plug the original charger, it will start charging and then stop, even though the charger is constantly plugged to the laptop. It It behaves as if I
plugged and unplugged the charger every few seconds. In addition, it makes a strange sound during charging, similar to a gentle tap, which wasn´t happening before. The laptop will never be fully charged in this way, as charging is interrupted every few seconds,
and at the same time discharges very quickly. I'm afraid the battery may be damaged.

However, when I connect the USB-C cable to the original adapter and plug it to the laptop at the same time as the power adapter, the laptop is already charging continuously. But it is quite impractical for me to have two cables connected at the same time
for charging.

Could you please advise me how to solve this problem?

Microsoft surface pro charger

Hello,

Unfortunately my Microsoft surface pro (1st generation) charger cable broken beyond adapter..

Check screenshot.

Can I fix it ? If not, from where to buy it?

I checked on eBay, various chargers available ranging from 10usd to 70usb.

Can I buy only adaptor with charging cable without that unbroken power cable?
